Double Bedsheets

Many double bedsheets in India measure around 90 × 100 inches (about 230 × 254 cm), but sizes vary by brand. To check the fit, measure your mattress length, width, and thickness, then add extra fabric for the tuck-in. Always compare your measurements with the size listed on the product page before ordering.

It is better not to. A double bedsheet is made for a double bed, so on a queen or king mattress it will look short and come off the corners easily. Choose a bedsheet that matches your bed size. Magic in Home also has separate single and king bedsheet collections.

Cotton is the best choice for hot weather because it is breathable and soft on the skin. Poly-cotton blends are durable and wrinkle less, while microfiber feels smooth but can trap more heat. Check the fabric listed on each product page, and choose cotton or a cotton blend for summer comfort.

A flat bedsheet is a plain rectangle that you tuck under the mattress, while a fitted bedsheet has elastic corners that hold it in place like a cover. Flat sheets are easy to wash and use. Fitted sheets stay tighter and are better for deep mattresses and for people who move a lot in sleep.

Wash a new bedsheet separately the first time, in cold or lukewarm water with mild detergent. Avoid bleach and hot water, which can fade the print and shrink the fabric. Turn it inside out, dry it in the shade, and iron it on medium heat to keep it smooth and long-lasting.

Wash your bedsheet once a week, or every two weeks if you use it less often. Wash it more often in summer, when you sweat more, or if you have kids or pets. Keeping two or three sets lets you rotate them, and it makes each set last longer.
